How does it work?

Based on Electro-Static principles, ScaleBuster is a Physical Water Conditioning technology. With ScaleBuster installed, the calcium and magnesium are precipitated into suspension, limestone is present in the form of non-adherent crystalline structure aragonite, contrary to the untreated calcite that can cause deterioration and damage in unprotected systems. This also contributes to slowly removal of old limescale deposits from the piping network and adds passive cathodic corrosion protection. The Ion ScaleBuster technology replaces traditional chemical treatment of certain water systems; providing control of scale and corrosion in various water systems to create an exceptionally clean system. This reduces energy and water consumption, while reducing or, in certain cases, eliminating toxic water discharge, and covered by up to ten (yes, 10) years of manufacturer warranty!

Based on ScaleBuster, a Non-Chemical Cooling Tower Water Treatment solution branded EnviroTower was developed in Canada with almost 500 systems sold. In EnviroTower applications the ScaleBuster is the key component allowing physical removal of precipitated hardness and corrosion protection. EnviroTower solution could save 10-15% of cooling towers OpEx (including energy, water, chemicals and maintenance) vs. traditional chemical treatment and extend life span of the equipment to manufacturer’s expected life.
